Archives

The May Stevens and Rudolf Baranik Foundation is responsible for four archival collections: the May Stevens Papers (the personal archives of artist and activist May Stevens), the Rudolf Baranik Papers (the personal archives of Rudolf Baranik), the Records of the Stevens and Baranik Foundation (records of the organization), and art historian Patricia Hills’ Collection on May Stevens. The personal papers of both artists contain important correspondence, journals, personal photographs, images of artwork, exhibition ephemera, press, interviews, and more.

The archives, which are located in New York City area, are unprocessed and currently closed to researchers, although certain scholarly and exhibition-related requests may be accommodated by writing to stevensbaranikfoundation@gmail.com.
